Wrist Mounted Compaass buying tips?

I asked this elsewhere, but would like the DIR answer as well:

Suunto makes compasses balanced for 5 different zones. Do DIR divers buy a separate compass for each zone they visit, or is one compass good enough?

Yeah, but a cave only has two directions ,"In" and "Out", right ?

That's why the bezel has two marks. Seriously though, I was referring to the times that I use it for OW diving.

I'd tap the compass or move my arm, only to watch in dismay as the needle span to a completely different bearing -- then having absolutely no idea where i was.

Needle compasses like the SK-5 are probably a bit more prone to sticking like that. Card compasses such as the SK-6 (and I presume the SK-7, with which I am not familiar) would seem to be less likely to have that problem. Proper use is all in the technique however, so whatever type you use, make sure you practice, practice, practice.

I use an SK7, but the SK6 seems to be top-notch as well.
