Kalani I'm sorry to hear you guys are sick I feel for you I'm just getting over a cold myself. You will be missed, maybe I'll see you on a Beach Crabs dive.

Kim I've been trying to get him wet, we'll be splashing in tomorrow morning.

John

Thanks... turns out we'll be coming after all, although we won't be getting diving at all. We're taking is easy and playing tourist for the weekend, coming over on the 12:15 boat. See you all at dinner!

What a gorgeous day it was at the park! We made a quick trip over for the day, but it was well worth it. In spite of the weather forecasts, seas were flat, the sun was out, and it was warm over by the Casino. Viz was very good - away from the classes. There were large schools of silver fish (maybe mackerel? Have to break out the book) that looked like conga lines and the rest of the usual suspects. Temps were in the low-mid 60's. Oh, and my drysuit really is dry once again -- new zipper works! What a nice day!

It was nice seeing all the familar faces & some new ones. Sorry I didn't get to meet & greet more but I was put of the Reef Check suvey group & was busy with that. It was nice meeting Berr Rabit & hubby, sorry I missed seeing you Kelpmermaid.
Hey Kalani did you ever make it over?

John

Nope, sorry, the wife woke up a lot sicker than the previous day, so we ultimately scrubbed the trip. Would have been torture to be there and not dive anyway; I heard conditions were great!

Next time... *sigh*

Just wondering... Ber, was that you with the latex attached hood? It just dawned on me...that's not a local thing.

Another awsome time with So.Cal.Kelp Divers.... Thanks Christian all your work to set up a great weekend.. Thanks Ted S. for helping out. And most of all thanks to all that made this time enjoyable to me and others. Scott, Ron, and Tom.. thanks for being great dive buddies and sharing the great viz. and allowing me to share in your enjoyment.
Can't wait till next time!

I too had a great dive and a wonderful time.
Thanks to Christain, Ted and all of the others for thier efforts in making this happen.

It was really good to meet Ber and her hubby, Ann Marie and her friend as well. Next time I'll hang arround for dinner!

I had a great time this weekend! I was nice seeing/meeting everyone...

Those chocolate fudge cookies after the last dive on Saturday topped it off. Of course sitting in the hot tub drinking a beer helped those cookies go down much smoother. Thanks Ted for making the cookie run :D

If anyone is looking for a good back-up light, buy a Pelican. I've seen first hand that you can flood it multiple times and it's guaranteed to work without even changing the bulb...Hell, it was even lit while fully flooded... :11::crafty: Good diving with you Tom!

Big thanks goes out to Christian (and Ted) for organizing the event and doing a great job getting everyone together for such a good time. Conditions were perfect, people were great, and good times as always...

Pictures to come... (although they came out poorly)

Steve
