Well, I won't be able to make it to this one.
We have 2 teams of Technicians at my work who are traveling to New Orleans for 3 week shifts and the first team leaves on the 14th for their 3 week shift and then I will be part of the 2nd crew heading over in February for the next 3 weeks. So work is not allowing any vacation for the next 6 weeks as we will be shorthanded.
Maybe I can make it to the April dives!!!

Sorry to hear that Robb - we'll do a couple dives for ya! :D

I checked with lifeguards this week, and they said it is legal to anchor in the reserve, as long as I don't fish or stay overnight. I'm still waiting to see if I'm free this weekend, but if I am, I'll see everyone there. I have an 11' RIB on the back of the boat, so maybe we can do some offshore dives to areas not accessible from shore. I also have two kayaks on board, in case anyone is interested.

I am bringing my kayak as well. Hoping for calm seas. I may do a kayak dive at buoy b if it is....or maybe even Scripps.

Harr there Cap'n John-boy!

It would be so cool to see your boat out of the harbor in it's full glory!

I've never done a dive off of a RIB. That would also be a very cool thing to do!

Hopefully, everything works out so that we all get to see you this weekend.

I've reserved a room at the La Jolla Beach Travelodge for both Friday and Saturday nights. I've stayed there before and it is clea, comfortable and only $79 per night (really good for La Jolla).

Let me know if anyone else is staying in the area and we can get together. In fact, send me your cell phone number via PM and I'll send you mine.

SIO wave forcast for friday is 1.5 feet, this is starting to look good.

Hello there! I posted about where to dive on my up coming business trip to San Diego and was "invited" to your "wrinkles dive". Would it be alright if my sister and I join you guys Saturday?

Absolutely!

This is open to anyone and everyone that wants to come out to meet some other ScubaBoard members and have fun!

We have people from out of town join us all the time at these little get togethers.

We'll be really easy to spot because there will be an 8-foot by 3-foot banner up with the ScubaBoard logo on it.

I've added you and your sister to the list of attendees in the first post of this thread.

See you on Saturday!

OK folks, check the list in the first post to see what items we still need to have a successful BBQ.

In addition to the other stuff I'm bringing, I'll bring hot dog buns because I have a bunch of them that need to be eaten.

However, I don't seen anyone signed up to bring the hot dogs yet and I think I saw it written that "man cannot live by buns alone!" :D
