Underwater Schools of America in Oceanside fills Nitrox.
225 Brooks St.
(760) 722-7826
(877) 896-3483

By the time you drive there and back your SI will have been long enough to dive the Andrea Doria.

USA would be a long haul from La Jolla - but you could easily get a Nitrox fill on the way down from LA or Orange County. They also fill to 50% O2. They are located right next to I-5, literally one minute off the freeway. Just exit at Mission and head East, the first cross street you come to is Brooks. They're on the right about three blocks down - you'll see the dive flag.

Have a great time on your visit to your old stomping grounds. We'll also look forward to seeing pictures. The ones suitable for posting, anyway!

You mean no African ladies in traditional dress?

The Dive Boat Lois Ann pumps nitrox, and I have been told they have shore facilities to do it but have not been able to verify if it is true. Here is there website:

La Jolla Shores and Canyon diving on the weekend of the full moon during squid season... after seeing the recent squid-egg photos from divinman????

Oh, Yeah!!!

See y'all there. I'll be the one bearing brownies :D

Claudette

(Counting on a LATE night dive for maximal squidvision!)

Guess I'll miss this one too. I'll be in Ft. Lauderdale that weekend, checking to see if Atlantic Ocean fishies are any different from Pacific Ocean fishies. :D

I am going to try to make this one. I need to know that I can get next Sat. off before I can confirm though. I should know by Tuesday.

Terry and I are thinking of bringing my boat to the dive. We'll probably anchor at the canyon edge, and either dinghy or kayak back and forth. I need to check with the lifeguards to make sure I can anchor there, then make sure I'm available that Saturday. I'll know soon after the weekend.
