Stone:
Thanks for the reply. We'll cross our fingers that you can take off again in July.
Walter: Can you ask Lady Go Diver when you dive with them this weekend about the license?
Also Walter, I have talked to all of the divers going on this trip, and many of them said they would be interested in the afternoon dives as well. So I would like to block the boat for the afternoons too. I don't think we're going to have a problem filling it with the minimum 4 divers. Right everyone? Who wants to be able to dive in the afternoon too?

Count us for afternoon dives.

Walter, we also want to stay through Friday and try to meet with Marla and Augie and anyone else of the Florida Gang. Since it's mini-bug season, do we need to reserve a boat for those days? Or just wait until closer to the date and see what the plans are then?

I am a big fan of diving with gloves. Partially for the bit of thermal protection provided, plus in my local dive haunts, the underwater attractions are a bit rusty and deteriorated. So touching them with a bare hand could invite a trip to the ER for a tetnus shot.
Speaking of tetanus - I'm due for a tetanus shot but my doctor tells me that there has been a shortage in the immunization for almost a year now. Hopefully they will be restocked by July.

Natasha - count me in for afternoon dives too.

Natasha has the official count, but by my unofficial tally we have 16 divers (including Natasha & me). We have the boat reserved for the mornings. Rob will take the boat out if we have at least 4 divers, but he certainly won't reserve the entire boat for us, he'll try to fill it. I can secure spots for those interested in diving in the afternoon, if we get enough folks we can block the entire boat. So far for the afternoon I have Natasha, Dee & Beast, Sunshine & me. Anyone else?

Mini season is extremely busy. Everyone will be booked in advance. If you want to dive (other than from shore) let me know now and I'll reserve spots on the boat. Right now I have Dee, da Beast & me. Anyone else?

I'll check on the boat license, but I'm not sure it applies to mini season as no commercial licenses are valid during the 2 day sport season. Either way, you will need to have a gauge to measure bugs with you in the water.

I would like to go on atleast one afternoon dive. How about a night dive has anyone wanted to do a night dive?

Count Jeff and I in for the afternoon dives and potentially a night dive if one is planned.

Unfortunately we are not able to stay over for mini-season. We are going to Oregon right after Labor Day and can't afford the extra vacation so close. Wish we could stay. We have never been lobstering.

Natasha - I am mailing my check today!

Nathasha and Walter,

You can count Lydia and I in for extra afternoon dives. We haven't yet done a night dive, but might in You-Know-Where in a few weeks, (Oh my god, I can't believe it's almost here!!!!!) so that would interest us as well, if available.

BTW, could we get an updated list of who-all is going?

Happy Diving,

Susan :)

PS - Natasha, my check will be in the mail tomorrow! :)

Count me in on at least 2 of the afternoon dives, I want to do some beach night diving also, I want to do some lobstering, and I also want all the Money in Fort Knox. But what I want and what I get might be two different things.
What would the afternoon dives run?
If I get the time off for Lobster I will be there. I wont know until later. How is the beach lobstering?

Texas Mike, I have the same gloves wal-mart special ski gloves black and blue for 9.98 and neoprene gloves also. To funny. Matter of fact almost bought an extra pair last week.

I bought me one of those fancy underwater metal detectors that I plan on bring down for a beach dive or two. Figure if I dig up enough aluminum cans I can pay for the trip. :D Seems about all it finds up here on land.

I'm in for the afternoon, night, beach, lobster, find Pete's lost equipment, and any other dive we want to plan. I figure the more times we're in the water, the cheeper the individual bubble.

Walter, as soon as you add the new dives to the plans, be sure to provide an updated itinerary so those of us flying in can book the correct flights.

This is gonna be fun!
