Does anyone have a good drawing of the Madiera wreck area? I am diving it for the first time at the end of September and am looking for a map of the wreck site. A .PDF file perhaps?

thanks in advance...

'Just dove Madeira for the first time 2 weekends ago - FANTASTIC dive, in fact IMHO the best diving in the midwest. I live in Richfield, & if you're interested, I might venture another Sept. dive up there if you'ld like a buddy.
I am going with Scuba Center in Eagan, they are doing a wreck specialty that weekend, but also doing it as a fun dive. John Avery is the instructor. He is both an excellent diver/instructor and a great guy. Please feel free to join us, the more the merrier. Check it out here: http://www.scubacenter.com/fundives.htm We are heading up Saturday morning, spending the night Saturday and diving Sunday as well. I know you can sign up for either or both days and the cost is free. Please send me a PM if you are interested. We can meet before hand and discuss logistics if you want...

Thanks - yes, John is a good guy. I certified w/ Scuba Center 3 years ago (Penn location), & view their web site every now & then, but missed seeing this scheduled fun dive. I'll watch the weather the last week of the month, & consider driving up for a two tank day trip. Cool web site on the Madeira? Make sure you click the link to "Present Desciption" to view the sketch as well as the photos link.

It is a great website... Thanks much. Be sure if you decide to go that you let Avery know you are coming, also send me a shout and I will look for you up there. How is the new entry, is it tough, easy, I am going to do it in twin 98's...

It's really quite nice. 'Lot was nearly full when I went. You stop at the visitor center in down town Twin Harbors to show your C card & get the combination to the lock on the gate. If you don't have an annual state park pass, you pay a $7 daily fee. The trail going down to the beach is much like a Boundary Water portage - 'can be kinda nasty if wet while carry gear down. Trail is maybe 25 yds long. I took two trips down & it was fine (bring a tarp to lay your stuff down). 'Probably a good idea to gas off a bit before you ascend the trail w/ your stuff after 2 dives.
