Dove WPB with Captain Todd on Aqua Hunter today for 3 tanker. Also on the boat today was fellow harvesters Gene, Barry, Gregg, and Matt. Dropped off Pancake Sausage on a stick breakfast to our friends on Shellback charters (who bought the former Diversity boat) and were nearby on the same reef. Tried to avoid some rain clouds but top side was really flat. Conditions were 68° in 90 ft deep. So we moved over to Paul's reef at only 45 ft deep and temperatures were nicer at 75°. 50 ft of visibility easy 1 knot current. Picked up more than a dozen lionfish tails for the FWC tournament.

nice haul!!
And the breakfast sounded really good. Especially if you made it!

68 on the deeper reef this time of year? Yikes!!!!

It's just our gulf stream bending, curving & wiggling. You can see the side walls of it by looking for flat sections or swirls of water on the surface as you motor to your site. Sometimes you can drive just a mile, still be in 90 deep and now you are back in the warm gulfstream. It always changes overnite so today it can be right back up to 78 degrees. That's why we share conditions with all the divers to help them find where to go.

One of my favorite people in FL! Love these little reports that remind some of us that warmer water does exist, lol.

I dove WPB and Jupiter 5/23 through 5/25 and saw similar. Jupiter on the 23rd, we saw 66 and 69 degrees. WPB on the 24th/25th was a little warmer at the upper 70s.
