I am confident that DAN covers your diving regardless of where you are diving.
I was under the impression DAN only covers accidents more than 100 miles from one's home, or something like that.

DAN has no such limitation. The Q&A on their website says:

Do I Need To Be A Certain Distance From Home Before Dive Accident Insurance Coverage Takes Effect?

DAN dive accident insurance provides global coverage. There is no minimum distance from home required before coverage goes into effect.

That's awesome! (I can't quite afford travelling to exotic islands every year but I want to keep honing my skills so quarries seem like the best way to go)
Are you saying that we're not exotic in Tennessee? :)

Well, actually not so much, but we do have a decent number of quarries set up for diving.

I just looked up their dive insurance FAQ and it says:

I’m newish too (OC for a few years, but not a ton of dives). That said, I’m very risk aware (Safety and Security Engineering is something I’ve been involved with for several decades), so I looked at it from that viewpoint.

YES!!! It’s worth it.

For both domestic and foreign dive sites, one mishap and you’ll be glad you have it.

Safe diving!
