So, we have an update on this sorry saga. About a week after the formal end date of the campaign, it appears Indiegogo did the right thing; closed down the campaign page and refunded all the backers. Late friday afternoon San Francisco time, the dollar total and backer count abruptly started dropping - over several minutes, ending up at zero. Then the page went offline for a short spell, and is now replaced by a holding page.

This doesn't completely rule out another attempt by the scammers to squeeze money from their single lucky viral break, perhaps on a crowd funding site even more lax than IGG (if there is one), but, for now, the Triton scam is dead in the water.

Credit to human decency of every person who posted, emailed, wrote articles, etc. to protect the sheep. Without these people, 3 guys could have made off with millions of dollars.

Unfortunately many other people were never as fortunate through others scampaigns. Note to scammers, divers take their sport serious and will call you out on ********.

"why is the campaign deleted? "

This answer is of course, "HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH"

But don't worry Dan, The Triton is still available and being ordered on Jeabyun's Facebook page!

Triton 'Tankless' Scuba Mask -- Real or Vaporware? Such old news. This story dates back to 2014. Back then it was a "self contained device" that somehow extracted oxygen from the water and somehow managed to compress it and store it in a extremely small tank. Now if that was not enough lets not forget pure oxygen can not be used past 25 feet depth.

The latest version uses liquid oxygen cylinders. Again very very very small cylinders and again still not usable below 25 feet. Also of course is the issue of generating enough pressure in the gas produced by the device to equal that of the depth the diver is at. In short, maybe some day but not anytime in the next few decades.

As others have said, sniff, sniff, sniff.....I smell something fishy.
