Divers in difficulty​

Later in the day, two divers were rescued after finding themselves in difficulties off Zonqor, Marsascala.

The incident happened in the early afternoon.

The divers, both women, were brought ashore in an AFM rescue launch and given first aid by waiting ambulance crews. One of them, a 31-year-old Chinese, suffered slight injuries while the condition of the other, whose identity was not immediately known, was more serious, the police said.
