Winter Island

Anyone provide any information about Winter Island? Dive shop is planning a trip there in May.

the only winter island i know is in salem.
its just outside salem neck.
has an old fort on it.
i keep my boat moored off it
i have never dove there (except to check my mooring)
seems like a fine dive, maybe a little shallow...
my one concern would be that it is real busy... the main channel into salem is just off the island and is most of the deep water there...

i have seen a few people there in the winter and in off season times
