You can get them in nitrox versions now too...so you can use them for deco...there's even a dual cylinder model..

1 Spareair for travel mix
1 Spareair for bottom mix
2 Spareairs for deco

What else does one need?

Through the Aerospace lab at UF, I have created the ultimate assistant to the Spare Air. It's only for Uncle Pug for being so fair in all situations.

Introducing the Nitrox Snorkel.
It comes in NOAA 1 and Noaa 2.

cheers

If you are amenable, maybe we could package my 4 Spareairs with mad bungees holding them together (I was thinking a necklace) with your Nitrox snorkel.

Since they are small, they will be hard to label with anything less than 10 font so I suggest we develop a clockwise system for gas management. The Spareair bottle/reg you start with is your travel mix and from there on you must remember to move one reg clockwise in the Spareair Bungee Ball (SBB) to change to your bottom mix, deco gas 1, and deco gas 2 respectively.

If you experience an OOA emergency, you should be ok if you ascend to 7' and breathe through your Nitrox snorkel...Divesherpa, those do come in 7' and 5' models, right?

OMS even makes a 9' version that is held in place by the BWOD bungies. You guys said those bungies weren't good for anything.
Lots of dead air space in the tube, but it's only for deco anyway. We are working on a 100% snorkel, but the 80% snorkel will have to due until we can boost our technology.
The cave snorkel is for breathing out of air pockets when you can't get your mouth into the holes. This is an excellent way to extend your dive time by reducing your consumption of back gas. The DIR snorkel comes in black to match the drysuit. The non-DIR snorkel is pink. Send me a Private Message if you would like to purchase one of these snorkels.

In the DIW class we learned to buddy breathe off of the same cave snorkel in a silt out scenario. Touch contact while buddy breathing off a shared snorkel in a silt out is the best way to hone buddy skills. If (big if) you survive this drill (only for the most veteran diver) then you can take part in UCSC social events.

I heard through the grapevine that the guys over at the WKPP had modified that snorkel with a diamond tipped drill bit and incorporated a state of the art hollow telescoping tube that was capable of extending to 300'. They plan to use it to drill through any overhead environment in the case of a silt out or entanglement and breathe surface air from deep within a wreck or a cave.

I think they were calling it the DIR Diamond-tipped Trimix Snorkel and they will not sell it to strokes since it was relatively hard to breathe from at depth. They make you take an exam before ordering.

I also heard about the diamond tipped snorkel.
I believe that the main problem with the snorkel is that it is very hard to adjust your END.
