Hey! I said that already! :scorned:

This is why I did bad in reading in school. Please accept my most humble apology.
What did you already said? About the chlorine or the jacket BC?

The chlorine . . . You're number 1 with the BCD! :thumb:

The PADI Equipment Specialty class teaches you to un-stink a wing?

The PADI Equipment Specialty class teaches you to un-stink a wing?

It's an optional residency.

If you choose to pursue it, you travel to exotic destinations where you will find yourself in rooms full of smelly BCD's and you will be the only one with the knowledge and skill to fix them. You will be a hero to the locals who will probably erect a plaque or maybe even a statue in your honor. Your exposure suit will be adorned with medals and you will be the envy of fellow divers until such time as your suit leaks so bad due to the numerous punctures from those medals that you freeze to death.

I would think orally inflating with it when it's full of all sorts of things growing inside would be a good way to get a lung infection, which would be my concern, rather than how bad it might smell at 60'.

Your logic is questionable, at best. If you're orally inflating it, then how does something come OUT of the BC and INTO your lungs? Second, how do you know there's anything growing inside of it?

Let's just take a look at the conditions:

- No sunlight
- No source of oxygen
- No source of food for something that might "grow."

I fail to see how mold or mildew could live there.
