I'm wondering what the exact requirements are for a wing in the DIR-F class. The GUE website says:

"A diver's buoyancy compensation device should be back-mounted and minimalist in nature. It should come free of extraneous strings, tabs, or other material. There should be no restrictive bands or "bungee" of any sort affixed to the buoyancy cell. In addition, diver lift should not exceed 50lbs for a single tank and 80lbs for double tanks."

Does anyone know if "minimalist" excludes dual-bladder wings and whether the Dive Rite Dual Rec wing is acceptable despite the Gusset Control System string?

Dual bladder wings are not DIR, and the gussets are actually the 'restrictive bands or "bungee" of any sort affixed to the buoyancy cell' gue.com is referring to. Dive Rite Dual Rec wing is everything but not minimalist...

You should double check your equipment with an instructor that you plan to work with.

MHK told me the Rec Wing is fine for Fundies, as long as the bungee is removed. The bungee is only needed (if that) for use with singles, and since I use my RecWing only with doubles, the bungee is gone. No problem now.

At some point I'll want to replace the pull-dump with a simple elbow (just haven't gotten around to it), but that's not a requirement for Fundies. (Not with MHK, at least)

I'm less sure of the double-wing aspect of your wing. That hasn't come up before, and although I know it's explicity non-DIR, it may be "ok" to have it... at least, for taking the class.

IIRC, MHK said for Fundies, his general requirements are simply: 1) bp/w, no bungee, and 2) no split fins. Anything he can work around... although you certainly won't be earning a tech pass if your gear is too far off the mark, no matter how good your other skills are.
