Hey all,

Okay, we're planning a trip to the Windward islands next year (either March or June-ish) and we've narrowed it down to:
Barbados, St. Lucia or Trinidad / Tobago (heavily weighted by how hard/cost to get there from Houston)

Dive trip preferences in order of importance:
Lots of critters
Viz - (60+?)
Low to Moderate current
Good topside (not necessarily bars/clubs but culture, restaurants, locals, etc)

Thoughts on a comparison between the three options? All the same? One or more an "uh-uh, no way"?

Many thanks,
David

In terms of diving, I much prefer St. Lucia to Barbados...Barbados had lots of cyanobacteria (the red slime) and their conservations efforts aren't great. Topside, Barbados is a fun island.

Regarding St. Lucia, we stayed a week at Ti Kaye resort and loved it. The dive shop is onsite. After morning diving, we'd have lunch and then get in an afternoon of snorkeling, kayaking and beach pong. There are outside excursions to take (including the Friday night fish fry which should not be missed). Our week in St. Lucia was one of our favorites.

Can't comment on Trinidad/Tobago.
