I bought a new/used Salvo 10 watt fixed focus (Fixed focus doesn't bother me) for diving the North Coast and it works just fine.

The Salvo 10 watt fixed-focus I'm thinking about looks like it comes with a soft, strappy handle -- not a goodman handle. Is that what you have? What do you think about the handle?

The handle is the strappy handle. I made the mount solid using cave line so it would not pop off the light head, as it did a few times when I first started using it. The strap vs the goodman does not make a difference to me and I have used both. I could easily make a goodman for it though in the future.

Is that easy to do? I see goodman handles sold under "spare parts" over at Extreme Exposure. But I'd be worried about compatibility between Halcyon and Salvo light heads.
