Or, is it that DIR is a special "no trolling zone" where fines are doubled?

I'm mystified....

I never cease to be amazed at the things that I obviously don't have enough information about to properly understand....

Does Scubaboard only appreciate their DIR members now? This is about the most openly biased post I've ever seen from UP.

Tow the DIR line or you'll be banned....

I will agree, this has nothing to do with the DIR line. Lawman can be one of the "harder to take" members on the board.

I think that UP is simply trying to give him a warning. I am another diver that doesn't "toe the DIR line" and he has never given me any problems. If you are respectful in your disagreements on this board, I predict that you won't have many problems with the moderators.

I interpreted nothing DIR-related about UP's warning at all! An admitted troll, Lawman appears to be actively trying to get himself re-banned.

Lawman,
Glad to see you back. I have missed your ambience. Just wanted to let you know before "they" kicked your a$$ again. Try to stay alive so that your voice is heard. A minority opinion is worthwhile.

Hmmmmmm

I'm both (an engineer and an attorney...so I work as a patent attorney)...No wonder I'm always fighting with myself.

LOL. Remember, according to some of our brethren, you're not a real attorney unless you're banging out urban rear enders and soft tissue injuries for a 1/3 contingency or keeping the scum of the Earth on the streets.

Like you, I think that IP is more fun.

More to the point, the entire troll issue is relatively simple. Questions intended to gain knowledge are welcome. Questions intended to start fights or that are disguised insults are not.

Thank you Daylight. It's difficult to put up with insults from the Brittany Spears age group sometimes. I'd rather be banned than do that.
If the definition of "trolling" is going to be expanded to shut off any kind
of disagreement than I can live with it. ScubaBoard won't be the same, but
if that's the way Pug and Doc want it that's the way it will be.I'm just a visitor
here.

The problem for you is a Brittany Spears age group cabal? Interesting.

So you believe there is only one set of knowledge? Any debating of that knowledge is trolling?

I guess that's the difference between being paid for what you produce and being paid for how long it took you to produce it regardless of what the end result is.

A lawyer would preface that kind of comment with "without prejudice". 8)

Nice to see you, John. How are you?

Standing next to a lawyer while being sentenced doesn't mean you know
anything about lawyers or the law.

What is it that you folks do?
