Or, is it that DIR is a special "no trolling zone" where fines are doubled?

I'm mystified....

I never cease to be amazed at the things that I obviously don't have enough information about to properly understand....

Lawman:
I don't think many people in herecare about DIR one way or the other.
Maybe you should change your signature line to match Jonnythan's.

do not get 'violent' responses...this is, at best, a mis-statement and anything but a 'fact.' It is an example of just another troll statement designed to incite reaction.

Trolls aggravate and irritate people, as is their INTENT, and as people tire of having their time wasted, tend to respond accordingly...some replies being curt and lacking an overabundance of civility on occassion.

But, the point is that the discourse is tainted by those making disingenuous and baiting statements. Doesn't take a rocket scientist, attorney, or inbred Appalachian banjo-picker to deduce that trolls create the problems and diminish the value of the board, not those that want to have a reasoned, intelligent discussion.

Hence, a no-troll policy.

Ain't it great...

Now that was stilted, angry and way too loud....I thought you were going
to tip us off with a smily face when you did that? Isn't this a school day for
you? You're in the prime of your life. Go meet girls or eat pizza or something.
Don't waste you day being snotty to your elders.

Uncle Pug:
Like an ice cube in a hot tub... you won't last here in your present form. Not a prediction but a promise.

It will be a welcome moment when that promise is fulfilled, assuming he does not choose to reform, of course.

I would imagine most of the other lawyers on this board cringe in embarrassment every time the lawtroll holds himself up as an example of their profession or purports to speak for them generally.

Does Scubaboard only appreciate their DIR members now? This is about the most openly biased post I've ever seen from UP.

Tow the DIR line or you'll be banned....

Lawman:
Diving is a technical sport. It attracts engineers and a few lawyers. The engineers get insulted by the lawyers and call it 'trolling'. Lawyers find DIR and 100% tech talk boring. So, free speech or controlled speach?

Hmmmmmm

I'm both (an engineer and an attorney...so I work as a patent attorney)...No wonder I'm always fighting with myself.

Your lack of understanding astounds me. It doesn’t have anything to do with being DIR or not.

Yes.

Now go home.

Dude ... I'm not DIR. Not only does Uncle Pug let me post here ... he goes diving with me.

We had an interesting dive just this afternoon, in fact. Had my first-ever sighting of a sturgeon (about 4-5 feet long and definitely Jurassic looking).

Honestly, DIR's got nothing to do with what's going on here ... and even if it did, UP's more even-handed than that.
