Why is DAN such a PITA?

The only thing missing now is the member handbook with all of the details for each plan.

Don't know why the latest isn't. I renewed membership in Dec. 2024 and I only have access to what I assume is the latest version - 2022.

Again, not much difference between the two. I get the Guardian level for the extra benefits such as the "non-diving accident medical insurance" and "diving cancellation and interuption benefits."

So it is. I stand corrected.
It took me a few minutes to click through a few links to figure out how to navigate there, but I found the page. I didn't originally find it because I didn't scroll far enough down.
And... I had been searching for plan prices under Dive Accident Insurance

I agree with you. I went to the DAN booth at DEMA a few years and asked them a few questions on exact coverage details. The clueless look on the booth-worker’s face was priceless. Told me that she would get back to me. I’m still waiting.

I love DAN and would never dive without their coverage but sometimes they are their own worst enemy.

I'm fairly certain that I joined SB quite a bit prior to 2003 as I did post here on occasion, but I don't see any of those old posts. I think that the forum software was upgraded, or lost, at some point and I had to re-join. Either way, I distinctly recall the general attitude of many SB members being pompous and denigrating towards spearfishing, which is why I haven't posted here in years. ....and probably won't again in the foreseeable future.

Meh, it's no worse than Tony and SpearBoard, better in many ways.

You have to have pretty thick skin when you mildly denigrate someone's favorite bowl of cheerios.
