Why do YOU love SB?

Um, is this poll serious? I'd vote for all of the above except the last one (I'm nor a narcissist).

I visit ScubaBoard daily because it is an addiction. I cannot imagine starting off my morning without a run through 15-20 pages of new posts. I visit half a dozen SCUBA Related web sites and this is the one most satisfying to me. I enjoy meeting the members when they come to the Casino Point dive park.

As for anyone having a crush on me, few would admit to that. I'm surprised Elena and Sam do... heck, they've actually met me and know what I'm really like! I'm surprised they'd still say that.

Besides, I am now spoken for. Yes, Dr. Bill has found his "ultimate dive buddy." She's got brains and beauty, is an underwater videographer and producer, and for some strange reason she adores me. By the way, she's not Asian but a blonde Caucasian.

I thought I heard a rumor (or saw one of your posts) that mentioned you finding your ultimate dive buddy. Well congratulations!!!! I'm happy for you!

I like it because every time I post something it usually gets shot down in flames. Interacting with divers in a totally different part of the world to me and generally trained in a very different way forces me to defend just about everything I post. "debating" with various scubaboard members has forced me to defend the merit of alot of the stuff I do which I find very interesting because if I cant defend something I usually have to seriously ask myself why I do it

For me SB is traveling into a different world. I never see BP wings other than my own, which I tried because of what I read here. When I first logged in almost 7 years ago I got flamed for how I dived. I was kind of shocked by that reaction since all the divers I knew outside of cyberland dive just like I do. ??
I have only met a couple vacation divers here who said they logged on here.
And I've asked quite a few.
It's easy to get thinking that almost every diver in the world is on here. I've met maybe 3.
But, I have been here long enough to see that there really are some people on here who have great hearts and want to share what they know for the enjoyment and safety of other divers.
I am glad to have gotten to know them online here and would, someday, like to meet or dive with them.

I really like this one because all the different forums have different rules. I like the GREEN zones that weed out the AZZholes.

I really like that often/recently, the "OP" is the first poster with a weeded out "AZZhole post" &/or the one with the most posts weeded out.

To love (respect) ScubaBoardians, is to love ScubaBoard. As a community, we are the sum of our individuals. I would agree with halemano: we are NOT your average scuba divers. In fact, we have a lot to offer and teach them. I hope we never devolve to being just average.
