Why do you get travel deals?

As shop owners (or instructors) who put toghether dive trips for groups, what travel deals do you get? I'm working on my OWSI and am just wondering if I will be able to travel any cheaper. Do you work with a travel agency that gives you deals with the number of people you take? And if you do get deals, what is the specific reason?

some places offer 1 free spot with 10, or things like that. Sometimes organizers keep the free spots for their work running a trip, sometimes they cut the price a little for everyone.

You just have to scour the internet and send emails. Sometimes places will drop the price on rooms to get people there. A room getting less $$$ is better than an empty room. Traveling off season for the area can save significant $$$$.

Some people need travel agents.... but I find I can always do it cheaper on my own.
