I wear my computer on my wrist secured by bungees. Will soon convert my compass from wrist strap to bungee also. I am wondering besides the ease of putting it on/off, what are the other benefits of bungee over straps.

No buckles

Not pin-dependant

Not a single point of failure, when properly installed

Unlikely to suddenly fall into the abyss just when you need it

blah blah blah...

And they're easier to put on and take off... :wink:

Plus they adapt to drysuit/wetsuit, no matter the level of compression of the suit.

A lower profile (it's less prone to snag or be a PITA)

Cheers.

In dry gloves, I can pull a bungee mount on or off, but there's no way short of telekinesis I could manipulate a watch band buckle. :D

Depth compensating as well.

Pardon me
What is "bungee"?
Is this "bungee";
