divelover:::Of course we do. Labor Day, Fourth of July, Memorial Day and Farmer's Day. We shine everything up and go to the parades and park them where everyone can see them. With the price of corn, wheat and soybeans this year we might just be able to buy a couple more new ones. Thank you to the dumb asses who fell for the ethanol joke. Just hope it lasts long enough to bank some cash before the people get wise to the futility of this scam and the whole ethanol thing comes crashing down. Farmers know about these things.

Some farmers. This ethonal joke is killing my dairy farm neighbor, and most of his fellow dairymen. This farmer knows that this is going to be a rough year for guys buying the feed instead of growing it in quantity!
Rising feed costs from ethonal, rising fuel costs and dropping milk prices (to the farm, not at the store). Wonder if we could rig up a Dr Bill mobile to plow fields at that 70 mpg?

Farmers know about these things.

At $6.00+ for a box of corn flakes, so do the rest of us. What a scam.

Enjoy it while you can, boss.

It'll be over soon.

Yeah, it's got to be a tax writeoff. They need those spacious vehicles to haul tanks and other gear to training sites.

It looks like a newer building, you mention they are into property investment too.

If they own the building and lease out a space from themselves they are very smart.
The buisness doesn't matter if its a dive shop or like a guy i know here a Kids Katate school.
They gain not only by leasing from themseves but by having an office and storefront in the building itself. Thats good for other tennants too.

If the dive shop looses money they get to write it off... The buisness probably owns the cars not the people themselves. One for the Dive shop one for property managment? It would be dumb not to do it that way.

I am a little supprised one of the vehicles isn't a 4x4 SUV or Truck. They discount on them a fleet or buisness vehicles is much better.

If they are buiness smart at least you can count on having an LDS there for a while.

Hell, the cost of one of my tractors or combines makes that Ferrari thing look like a poor man's car.

Hey, I'll go one-on-one with your tractor any day... if you can drive it out to the island!

Have thought about adding tank racks where the golf clubs normally go, but I'm afraid they might tip the golf cart over... backwards!

Ken... try buying those corn flakes out here on the island. I bought my favorite cereal for $3.35 on the mainland but it costs $6.59 here for the exact same product.

I happen to live right by the dive store in the picture and will never go back. I drive past it to go to another dive store in town. I had my gear in his store for service and it came out worse than when it went in. After three more attempts to get it fixed, I just took it to my new shop, where the owner is an instructor and drives a truck. The owner of the store in the picture sold a business for mega-millions of dollars and now runs the shop like a tax write-off, nothing but cut-throat business. He's not an Instructor or DiveMaster and couldn't care less about me as a customer. He just gets into his Ferarri and drives home to his mansion leaving his staff to deal with us peasants. In the scuba world, I've never seen anything like it.

We used to raise quite a few pigs. Paid the utility bills. We ran our own corn through them. Now it's not economical to do it since corn is so valuable at sale. Sold everything except some sows which we'll keep around for when the shoe drops on ethanol. Then back to the piggin'. Smells a lot better around here too. Watch the price of pork and beef this year. $$$$$$$$

Whenever I hear the word perpetual to describe anything, I'm skeptical...;)
