I have pictures of people surfing at McAbee Beach and Lover's Point. There is a decent picture of a guy wiping out too. The surf at Monastery looked wicked. Roads closed sporadically between the aquarium and Asilomar. Made it interesting trying to get out to Asilomar Beach. I'll post pictures some time tonight (I'm again at Borders).

Here is an odd question that just occurred to me. Do you think it would be physically possible to surf in dive gear? If you could keep your balance, I think it would be quite the amusing sight. :)

Right now, if I was 25, had a credit card, a flexible job and no family I'd be at the airport with my gear buying a ticket to Cozumel.

Why? There's better diving here. Do something else that needs doing this weekend,
the conditions will improve in a few days.

And no intoxicated Texicans.

Hey, I'd be back by next weekend. :-)

And no intoxicated Texicans.
I love that. Texicans. Beach hasn't been any bit more calm really since I took the video. Here's a photo from Ocean Beach on Saturday when Mark and I went for a drive:

Brad - if you give it a try, I would be willing to bet there would bit a whole lot of us that would come out to [-]laugh at you [/-]cheer you on. I have heard of some people using jetskis to get out to dive sites. The thought alway intrigued me.

Jetskis would just look goofy, not that dive gear on a surfboard wouldn't look goofy too, but I'm sure you'd get style points of some type for at least being able to stay up on the board. :)

Someone needs to suit up in their diving gear and explore those two large rocks out at Ocean Beach. Get us some video and pictures and post it on this thread.

That would be some serious diving.

Okay who is up for the challange?

That picture just looks so inhospitable for any type of recreational marine sport. Coast guard probably would have a hard time trying to rescue someone off those dangerous death calling rocks.
