Jon I would LOVE to go to CAtalina this weekend, but its not in the finances at the moment.. :crafty: .... I am planning on being there either the weekend of april 22nd (my birthday) or that monday or tuesday.... if you wanna go then too, let me know.... I am just gonna stay local for the weekend....

By the way, I marked up a map for anyone who hasn't been to Shaw's/Crescent before. I noted where the stairs are down to the beach, and put some arrows to show where the streets are one-way. I also added some X's to show where we normally park. Note there is an "X" on Crescent Bay Drive, near the park. This is a decent spot to park if the other Crescent Bay spot is full. There are some stairs I didn't show that connect Crescent Bay Dr. to Circle Way.

I also added a black dot ("LSS") where the dive shop, Laguna Sea Sports, is located. To find Husky Boy Burgers, just follow me. :D
Jim,

You are SUCH an engineer! :D

I wish I could join you all this weekend, but alas, it looks like I've got "stuff" I need to take care of this weekend. I wasn't sure until this afternoon.

Christian

If anyone is in Avalon on Sat, be sure to come by and say "hi". Jake and I will be there, and I believe Arnaud will be with us on the 3rd dive after the private class he is teaching is completed. We'll be practicing kicks and drills in the park. Should be a gorgeous day.

Okay, I figure that by now you are about 78 dives short of your 4 dive per week goal. No sweat, if you want to make them up some weekend give me a call. :D And if you catch a little free time this weekend, give me a call and zip down to Laguna for quick dive.

Y'know, it's been so long since we've dove together, next time we do we'll have to introduce ourselves. :11:

BTW, I'll probably spend the non-diving moments of this weekend learning Dreamweaver.

Yeah, I've fallen WAY short of my intent to dive at such an aggressive pace. Life has thrown me more curve balls than expected, but as things settle, I'll be able to pick up the pace and maybe finish the year with a nice average. :D

I will certainly call if some free time creeps into the weekend, but it does not look promising.

I'll ask around the next time I go to meet you, because I know I'll have trouble recognizing you. I'll be wandering the beach like you and I did that time looking for Otter. "Excuse me, do you know Jim?" With the multitudes responding with a quick, "Get away from me you freak!" :11:

I think you'll like Dreamweaver. That's what the graphic artists I work with use before handing the code off to me. It writes pretty clean code. The funny thing is that I always say that I'm going to learn it someday, but am always in too much of a hurry to spend any time learning it since I've been used to using HotDog for so long. Maybe you'll have to show me the basics once you learn it. You might even get me to switch to the WYSIWYG side. ;)

Christian

Okay, here's the plan for this weekend. We're meeting at Crescent at 7:30 both tomorrow and Sunday mornings (see the map in Jim's post). We'll decide which site(s) to hit once we're all there. Look forward to meeting everyone.

Thats the same price as gas from HB to laguna...haha.

49 bucks from Huntington Beach to Laguna? It's only about a 20 mile drive! At $2.45 per gallon I figure you'd get 20 gallons. You must be driving one of those "big trash truck" to "dive vehicle" conversions to be getting 1 mile per gallon! BFI should really stop making those with today's gas prices. :11:

I know you're kidding, I just couldn't help myself! :D
