quite amusing that they are seen as an aphrodisiac. i just read something that the mercury content in shark fins is so high that regualr consumption can -among other things- cause impotence. however, it looks like the sharks will reach extinction before the shark fin eaters.

People really shouldn't be baised to those who eat sharks (or others). i dislike those who talk crap about meat eaters while the veggie lovers never seem to crop their own food. they use animals to sow the field and grow plants that you'll be eating soon.

If you're going to catch it yourself and eat it, then all power to you. if you're planning to eat only the fins, then at least give someone else the rest (or leave it for another animal to eat) instead of just throwing it away.

I know its wrong , Ive never tried it, but i would if i was asked too I would just to see what it tastes like. Youd be waisting even more of the shark if you didn't. I wouldn't eat it all the time, just once so i could say I tried it.
