He's not likely well known in the US, but in Canada, he's a national hero... I taught Red Green (Steve Smith) and his son how to dive. He missed his OW dives, so I don't know he ever got certified. He was working his tail off on his TV show at the time, and wasn't especially funny... Although a very nice guy!
