Had plans to go off Scubatyme Sunday AM but the NOAA forecast doesn't look good:
SUNDAY
NORTH WINDS 15 TO 20 KNOTS. SEAS 3 TO 5 FEET WITH
OCCASIONAL SEAS TO 6 FEET ALONG THE COAST AND 5 TO 7 FEET WITH
OCCASIONAL SEAS TO 9 FEET IN THE GULF STREAM. INTRACOASTAL
WATERS A MODERATE CHOP.
Magicseaweed, on the other hand, says 1-2ft.

I will be out on Aquatherapy Sunday morning (my regular "six-pack).

This is of course assuming that the west winds hold until midday as swellinfo.com is showing.
We will know on Sunday morning.
If we wake up to a north wind, no go.
If we get out of Hillsboro Inlet, we will go north in expectation of a "Following Sea" on the way back in.
There are currently 2 open spots on the boat for Sunday morning.
Check out the Deerfield Beach page on swellinfo.com.

I checked with Randy today and as far as I know Emerald will be going out tomorrow. Not that that's a voucher of sanity for anyone onboard, but a) I'm peeved that last weekend's hammerhead at Pompano didn't have the grace to stick around and I'm looking for another go, and b) if I'm not out diving on February 14th my attitude will be a bit tetchier than usual.

I limited on "Bugzilla's" today.
Yesterday was 74° in the water off Pompano I was told by some who went yesterday.
Today we had 68 and 69 water temps.
Visibility caved in from yesterday as well.
I attribute it to a cold water upwelling.
North to south current which lined up nice with the NW winds.
The North wind came in after we were out of the water in the afternoon.
A good day.

Learned early in life that fortune favors the brave.

Saturday it was a little bit of a rodeo going out of Jupiter Inlet, but doable. Once we got offshore the sea conditions weren't an issue. We ended up scotching the third dive because a) most of the divers weren't up for another surface interval in the cold air and b) viz even out on the deep ledge was a bit limited, which made the bull shark rodeo a little interesting. We decided not to even try the Bonaire.
