White Star Quarry Open for the 2009 Season!

April 1st is opening Day at White Star Quarry. The quarry opens at 8am every day and is open until Dusk until December 31, 2009.


The scuba concession will open weekends starting in May! See the website for details.

Sun was shining, 'bout 57 degrees.... beautiful, Almost perfect...

but OMG the wind... made peelin' off that wetsuit Big Fun.


dove the new LP 121 for the 1st time, Love It. Got Two 35 min. dives out of it and still had 500 psi.

and the icing on the cake was having Rich there with fills and dogs... he even got a chance or two to get in the water (tho' they were working dives).

Yeah speedy it was fun. That was my first time at white star. I still need some work on my new pony but other than that Im ready for the season now.

You might want to calculate your SAC rate. That is a great way to verify you air usage and help plan deeper dives.

I always have hotdogs when I am there.. .you just have to be social and actually talk to us and be part of the "a crowd" OH... showing up at lunch time when we are all eating helps too...

Whats up with the 50 percent increase in fee's at White Star? I have heard that it has sky rocketed to $15.00 per day from $10.00. Is this true? Has anything new been added like bathrooms, running water, showers?
