I am in the middle of reading Tim Severin's In Search of Moby Dick. It's an interesting book (so far) and I am curious about the mention of white manta and white whale shark sightings in the Philippines. Has anyone else read this book? Does anyone know of any documented sightings of a white manta or whale shark?

White elasmobranchs are very, very rare.
