This white organism was on the west side of a rock pillar at about 35 feet, 52 degree water at Long Point, Palos Verdes, California. Can anyone tell me what it is? Thanks.

I thought it could be a tunicate or perhaps a sponge. I am not good at identifying those. Thanks.
 
Those would be my two guesses as well. White blobs can be difficult to ID without good closeups of their structure (or microscopic examination for some)
 
My initial reaction was "egg mass" but echo Dr Bill... need a better picture :)
