When using Sea Mode, do you set manual white balance as well? What settings do you use, that work for you? Even better if you have a RMM.

I do set the white balance occasionally during my dives. It is very easy to do...
At first I just let the camera do the whole setting of the functions. Work with that for a awhile before you start making yourself crazy.....

Do you have a sealife camera?

In Sea mode, the color correction is already preprogrammed in the camera. Note that color correction will only work when the flash is turned off. Turning on the flash when in Sea mode, will cancel the color-correction effect.

If you want, you have the option to set the manual white balance when in Sea mode. This should only be needed if the pre-programmed color correction is not working for your specific diving location. For example, if you are diving in greener water, you may want to set the manual white balance to calibrate the color correction for that specific water condition.

You will need a white slate to manually set the white balance. Select “White Balance” located under the Capture Menu. Select Manual WB from the White Balance menu. Hold the slate about 1 ft from the camera. It helps to angle the about 45 degrees towards the surface. While pointing the camera at the slate, select “Execute” and push the OK button. That will set the Manual white balance. You can always switch back the pre-programmed Sea mode color correction in the white balance menu.

Well, what I did on my dive yesterday was while I was in sea mode I set manual white balance with the sand. A photographer friend of mine says he sets the white balance with the sand underwater. So I set it with the color of the sand and the pics came out great. More color than normal. If you want to check them out look at the Weekend diving thread.
