I've decided to buy a VersaPro wrist mount and relegate my trust Prodigy to backup duty.

In perusing the Oceanic site, I viewed the owner's manuals for both PC Interface products that they offer, and neither one of them mention the VersaPro by name, as they do other Oceanic computer models.

Can someone clue me in as to which PC interface I need (if any) to be able to download dive data from my VersaPro to my PC.

Thanks!

Mike,

Thanks for that link.

I haven't ever laid my hands (or for that matter my eyes) on a VersaPro cable yet. When I do, if no one has answered, I'll do my best to try to answer your question.

A cheaper alternative is to just get the wrist mount holder for your Prodigy.

The downsides are that it's a bit bulky and the old 1 button Oceanics have very little information available for download --- just the time that you cross even 10' depth points.

I had a guy at a local computer store make a custom cable for me according ot the pinout in the manual. Works 100% and cost about $20.00 CAD.

Previously I had tried a few cables with the appropriate connectors but couldn't get the interface to work. I have read that others *have* used standard cables such as Radio Shack sells.

Could you provide the pinout information? I can't find it anywhere in my VersaPro user manual.

Thanks,

mike
