I ordered 2 Aeris Atmos Elite computers which arrived today. One is fine, the other needs to go back to the dealer for replacement. That's already sorted out by phone and the replacement should be on the way soon.

The wierd problem I ran into was when I went to repack the comuter that's being returned and register the one I'm keeping at the Aeris site: Which serial goes with which computer? I've got the boxes with the serial numbers but no way to tell which one came in which box! I've spent ages scrutinizing the darn thing, but I just can't find a serial on it. There's a way to access it in electronically, but that requires being able to hit a button during the diagnostic countdown. That requires turing the unit on manually, and I can't figure out how to turn it off! I suspect it will turn itself off someday, but lack patience. Can anyone point me to where the serial number is on the computer?

I'm not sure but Larry from Scuba Toys knows the trick to get the serial number.
It something like hold and press both buttons during start-up. And it will automatically turn off after an hour or so, there is no off switch that I know of. I have the atmos 2.

You are both right... Pushing the startup button and holding it until it goes throught the setup - it will then show the firmware version and serial number. Unfortunately if already on, the only choice is a hard boot. (take out the battery and put it back in - much like the big windows crashed button on the front of my pc.)

Gotta press both buttons together. Press and hold them through the boot up and then it'll show you it's serial and firmware version number.

I sure would like to know if the firmware number is anything other than "1A."

Mine is a VT Pro but they work the same.

The Oceanic VT Pro manual says to press and hold both buttons at the same time. I tested mine pressing just the startup button and that worked too.
