Haven't been back since. My parents moved us to San Diego in Decemebr of '74.

First ocean OW dives...La Jolla Cove...

Have to ask where in Pa is Quaker Lake?

Quaker Lake is just south of Binghampton, across the PA/NY line.

I'll have to look out for it. Wonder if its still diveable?

Heber Springs, Arkansas...viz used to be better back in 1974

babbacomb bay in torquay, south west england, may 2000
6 ft waves, 3 ft viz, 16oc water temp, 6 dives we saw a crab and a shopping cart

This is why I waited until I moved from the UK to the Philippines before learning to dive! Haven't spotted any shopping carts here yet... Seriously though, next time I'm back in the UK I might just give it a go.

I did the "Discover Scuba" thing in Thailand while on a rock climbing trip, then bought my wife a week of diving in Roatan, Honduras for Christmas of '06. The trouble was, she accepted the gift and promptly told me to get certified so I could dive with her... The next Spring I was doing my OW dives on Melissa's Reef. Sweet...
