Not nearly as cool as some of the others, but my ow checkouts were at the Lake Norman Rock Quarry.Loved it then, and still do.

Ft. Wetherill (spelling?) in Jamestown, RI. I had horrible pool experiences with an instructor who had dropped his wife off to deliver their baby prior to class and so he rushed through the class.

My open water experience was incredible because I had an amazing instructor, Chris Parker. Because of him, I fell in love with diving.

Wow, he left his wife's delivery of their child to teach a pool session? I can't imagine that a pool session would ever be even as close as important to me as my child being born.

Quaker Lake, PA.

Check out dives late March or early April, 1974...

Haven't been back since. My parents moved us to San Diego in Decemebr of '74.

First ocean OW dives...La Jolla Cove...

Ginnie Springs, then Troy. Haven't been back since my cavern cert at Ginnie because I discovered the great ocean diving in my backyard in Jupiter and West Palm Beach this past Oct. Spring Break is in April, however, and I plan on doing some spring diving during that week.
