I think you said you were booked on the Bilikiki. I have on been on that as well. Guadalcanal, very cool as I am a military history buff. Best part of that trip was Mary Island which has a volcano audible underwater thumping you in the chest. Second best part was probably hearing kids voices at night and finding local kids had come out in dugout canoes to sell local produce. Another great part was Million dollar point where surplus including ammunition and vehicles was dumped. Eerie looking at all that ammo, etc

Worst part was look out for the hand rail on the stairs up from the cabins. I think that is how I got sick from another passenger who had arrived sick and never did any diving.

I plan to take some of my buddies to go diving in Sangalaki next year. Some of non-diving spouses will go to Borneo jungle river cruise & visit the Orangutan sanctuary, like you see here:
