I'm trying to purchase an ATX 50 for a backup and replace my air II. However, I'm having trouble purchasing the ATX50 alone without a 1st stage. LeisurePro has them, but they have the yellow version. I don't want yellow. I want black. Scubastore.com has them, but they are out of stock. Any other sites I should check out?

Thanks

What's the difference between an ATX50 and a TX50? I assume both woudl make a good backup.

The second stage of the ATX50 is a little smaller overall than the TX50 with a smaller exhaust T. Either would make a good backup. I have both and use the TX50 as my primary and the smaller ATX second stage as my backup on a necklace. Either one would be fine as a backup though. Some people have an issue with bubble interference with the smaller exhaust T in certain positions, but others like the smaller size of the ATX. So basically it's your call. They breathe the same, they use the same parts, just slightly different in size.

Yeah.,.... I was going to say the same thing. Phil at http://www.divesports.com sells the ATX with or without the 2nd Stage. call him at 800-601-DIVE toll free.

You also get the full US warranty with Dive Sports, which I don't think you get with scubastore which I think ships their stuff from Europe.

Thanks. Divesports have them in stock for $165 vs $148 from scubastore. I'll probably just purchase it from Phil
