Thanks for the advice everyone.

I've been on the phone all night. Atleast I have until the end of the month to get sorted.

The wife and I will be up over the weekend. I hope we have time to get wet. :)

hey grd, ya your getting old... as for mary and i, the best place in brandon,is north of60.
life is so much easier on this side of the tracks so to speak..... there are lots of houses
for sale and rent. near my house and grd house also... you can get just about any direction
from are location...........good luck......m&m

That's true. There are quite a few available around this area right now. M&M how is the diving going? I thought you guys did your lass last month but I have not seen a report about it. Hope it is going well.
You are correct about the north end of Brandon. It gets much crazier in the southern part.

Since it's a bit inland, is homeowner's insurance any cheaper in Brandon than other parts of this area?

Since it is inland - it is probably way down in the alphabet, so yes. Areas are marked A-Z depending on the likelihood they will flood. The further down in the alphabet the cheaper. I think I have that right anyway.

NVM - u meant homeowners - I was thinking flood insurance

thanks for the info--my neighbor told me that there was an unnamed storm a few years ago that flooded the complex where I live now--the apartments themselves weren't flooded but it messed everything up

That was a bad storm. Came out of nowhere. No weather warning - no anything.
