Trying to decide on a relatively inexpensive 4-5 day trip in July. Thinking about Belize,Bonaire,Costa Rica or Baja. Also considering Flower Gardens,TX. Also open to any other warm water suggestions. What are everyone's thoughts on good value, great diving? We like to get lots of diving, see big fishes and great food. Could care less about shopping and night life. Would like to go somewhere different, not so touriste like Cozumel.

How 'bout the West Palm Beach to Ft. Lauderdale corridor? There's a zillion places to stay, and from what I read, the diving is excellent.

My two recs would be the Florida Keys or Bonaire. I like the upper keys myself, easy to get to and reasonable priced. On the other hand, Bonaire sounds like your kind of place...good food, wonderful people and great, easy diving( get the impression I like the place?). There is enough shopping and the like to meet any needs you might have (food ,t-shirts ect) but not wall to wall shops and no "street vendors". Pretty much eat, dive, eat, dive, eat dive, eat, sleep, repeat with an Amstel thrown in for good measure .. In Bonaire, we stay at Buddy Dive , http://www.buddydive.com , check out their "Dive and Drive" package. We will be in there in late July ourselves. Drop me a email if you would like more web sites/info.

Tracy,

Check out this message board as well... it's full of great info http://www.BonaireTalk.com/newsgroup/messages/board-topics.html If you have question about Bonaire I can assure you that you can find an accurate answer to your question on it....yea, it's my other web hang out. And don't miss the web cam, some good almost live shots above and below the water.
