next year i would like to do some diving in michigan. could some one fill me in on where to go and what dive shops to use. eather lake mich. or huron. all of my diving has been in fla. and mexico. would like to do fresh water wreck dive.

There is great diving all over here. I love diving in the Straits of Mackinac and Lake Huron. Haven't done much in Lake Michigan yet but plan to do the Chicago and Milwaukee areas next year.

If you decide on lower Lake Huron, the Sanilac Preserve Area, check with Capt. Gary Venet. He's got one of the best operations in the Great Lakes, IMO. His website is http://www.rectecdivecharters.com/

In the Straits I'd check with Straits Scuba. http://www.straitsscuba.com/ They run a good operation as well.

I have photos on my website that might give you an idea of what you'll see. You can view it at http://www.andymorrisonphotography.com/Shipwrecks.htm

Hope this helps.

A good place to start is the Thunder Bay Underwater Marine Sanctuary in Alpena. MI. This preserve in Lake Huron has something for everyone, both shallow and deeper wrecks. Two good charter operators are R.J. Dives (Randy Johnson) and Great Lakes Divers (Steve Kroll). Both have web sites that are easily found if you google them.
