Glad to help. From what I'm seeing the price is consistent across the main (trusted) retailers and sites. My guess is GoPro has a minimum price requirement for dealers.

I saw them at Walmart, Target and Best Buy and of course at my LDS. They were all priced the same.

Another good place to buy is REI, if you have one near you. They accept returns (even clothing items already without tags) and often have 20% coupons for REI members (membership is free).

thanks for all the ideas! unfortunately I am located on Cape Cod no walmart,target,rei close by. only best buy at this time is close to me. online ofcourse is a different story but I am shying away from that based on your feedback. target and walmart certainly possible to drive to but 45 minutes away.

Target and walmart don't carry the Black model anyway. Best buy is about the only national chain retail outlet that does. To find other vendors in your area, google shopping does a pretty good job of locating them.

If I'm not too late to the party might I recommend REI? Lifetime return policy is hard to beat.

LOL! Should have read the 2nd page. You can still order from REI online. The return policy is worth it.

I got one slightly cheaper for $374 from ebay
