Oh gosh! I didn't mean to win! I figured it was a long shot..... now I have to find a picture! (I'm better at winning than at posting new challenges, it seems!)

Give me a bit of time to do some digging.

Okay. Had to pull another one of my "lost" images off the web. I gave this photo the caption "Shades of Blue"

You can't use the web :) Or I shouldn't google it. Maldives.

I don't have much choice. That's my own image, but I don't have the original any longer :sadangel:

Since you're so good at googling images, care to tell the others exactly which island this is before I declare you the winner?

Laugh, charades on the interesting Thai names would be a real challenge. I think we need more people with their own photos, without elaborate travel writing credentials :) North Male is based on association with 2 other pictures in your album on the site I found the first picture.

North Male is nothing more than the name of the general area--the larger atoll system. What's the name of the island? You can find it on that travel page I wrote!

By the way, I took that photo on my first trip to the Maldives when I was a newly qualified diver with just 5 dives to my credit! I can clearly recall thinking I had to get a handle on my breath control so I could have nice long dives like the other divers instead of coming up after half an hour! It was so amazing there that I hated running low on air, of course!
