Depending on how you feel about the amount of stuff you are willing to strap on to your harness (or elsewhere), you can attach a snorkel to a strap on your harness with - a snorkel keeper. The old fashioned rubber kind with two holes in it that fold around a mask strap.

Bend it over a D ring, for example, pass one end of the snorkel keeper through the hole on the other end, and you've got a short rubber strap attached to your harness with a hole in the end of it - sized just right for the barrel of a snorkel. (This will not work with dry snorkels or anything but a smooth plain barrel.) Jam it in there and it will stay put.

If you can attach it to a harness strap where the body of the snorkel can get tucked *under* the strap and out of the way, it doesn't have to be dangling out there in the breeze or dragging behind you. I am sure this is *not* DIR compliant, but it works and is a lot less cluttered than some other arrangements.

You know Rob.... this is really embarassing. I think I might go out and scrape the SB sticker off of the back of my truck.

...put 2 more SB stickers on the back of your truck. :D

Aw, mon Oncle Pug, don't do that! You know that occasional bouts of silliness are endemic to any part of the internet!

Besides, we absolutely love your stories! I do, at any rate. I fancy myself to be somewhat of a reasonable scribe, and I would have to rate your stories as "outstanding"! Any luck on a published compilation?

Uncle Pug,

I have said it before, but one of the absolutely funniest diving stories I have ever read was your tale of "Flying on the Anchor"! That one brought tears to my eyes because I was laughing so hard. Truly great stuff!
