Political satire is beyond the grasp of some folks, I guess.
The way I see it, anyone that runs for public office automaticaly hangs a "KICK ME" sign on their back.
Folks would do well to remember that if a "commentary" offends them, they're better served by coming back with a better zinger.
This ought to get the pot stirred again.

I managed to read that thread last night before it was pulled. It was like watching a train wreck in slow motion. I imagine it was either deleted because a moderator started berating people and calling them names or the joke just wasn't funny.
PS, I was in the Air Force, served in Laos. I loved the joke. Hated the thread, it was embarrasing.

I concur with this conclusion. I think I had the distinction of being the last person to post to the thread before it was yanked. I commented on the deterioration of the thread and the name calling that was occuring, and when I went back to edit something in it, I got the SSN not authorized to view message.
A few moments after that, the thread by KN was posted, so I assume the two events are related.
I discussed it with a moderator after this and although it wasn't directly confirmed, I am pretty sure the thread was yanked based on the direction the comments had taken.

Clive...the post was pulled not because of the content, but for the out of hand path it had taken. It had deterriated to name calling and was serving no purpose.
