Better subtitled: "How the noob can't find a darn shipwreck!" or "The Sugar Barge weren't so sweet"

Leave it to the new diver to have the inability to find a shipwreck even given the explicite directions from the great people at SeaTrek. I'm guessing that slight southern current did push me a bit off course (yeah, and I was even warned about that and how to correct). Or maybe it was the stubborn 'Men don't ask directions' approach and I was sure it had to be around here somewhere.

Well, after 40min of floundering around looking for something on the bottom, my wife started to get nauseaous for some unknown reason (she claims I was swimming he in circles!) we called it a day. btw: she's recovered.

Overall, had a nice day out and had yet another educational experience diving.

The viz was about 8-10' with a slight southern current. A good breeze was keeping me battling the dive flag. LOTS of jellyfish, which made things a bit tense since I think my wife has more fear of them than sharks due to a bad experience once while snorkling.

Would have prefered to have found Reginaand seen a bit more sea life - but I still got to spend 40min underwater, which was great.

Don't feel bad, there really isn't a whole lot of the Regina to see. C'mon down & join us a Venice for shark toothin'.

Hey cruise so that was today? Just wondering as I am trying to get an idear of what the viz will be like tomorrow at Spanish Rocks for crabbing.

As for the Regina - who knows as tiny as that thing is it may have drifted away... not your fault at all :14:

Well, that's on my 'to do' list too. Of course as a new diver, that list is pretty long. Right now more interested in seeing sea life, but fossil hunting definitely interests me. Been to Venice once before and picked up a few small teeth at the shoreline.

Yes, that was todays viz at about 1-2pm. the current was very mild and the winds seemed to be mostly east-ish. Lots of jellies too.

I stopped by the Spanish Rocks site to see where that was (or at least I think I was at it, considering my navigation skills) so that I can check that out soon.

Wish I could join ya tomorrow - Good luck!
