So best bet for us would be to arrive ON Catalina on Thursday morning, shore dive in the afternoon, then boat dive Friday and Saturday, leave on Sunday?
I need to come up with a budget and detailed plan before I bring it up to my husband again. I need a spreadsheet format with hour by hour detailed, LOL. (This is what happens when two Type A personalities get married.)

I heard viz is messed up during warmer months. How true is that?

Have not had reliable Internet access here in FL for several days. "Season" starts Memorial Day weekend although the island is still slow midweek through mid-June. July and August are busy times weekdays and weekends. Late spring and early summer can be iffy since we do get algal blooms and "bat ray season" starts in late April or May (they can reduce vis to zero when feeding over sandy bottoms).
