I'll be getting mine serviced in September after I get back from diving in Port Hardy for a few days along with my regs. Since I'll be busy getting ready for fall classes at that time as well. Since I got them both from my LDS keeps my free parts for life on both and keeps everything in good working order. Also getting my tanks done as well.

About every 10 years (if it hasn't worn out by then). Rarely have any problems with mine, but I don't shore dive near sand.

I'm terrible. I take mine apart when it begins to stick or leak. You can service them two or three times, and then the soft brass gets enough scratches in it that they won't quit leaking, and you replace them. The Trident replacement unit for the typical wing inflator runs about $35.

I do a lot of shore diving and there is usually a ton of crap in the water here. I typically take all the dump valves and inflator hose off every few dives and flush the bladder as well as rinse the outside. It only takes a few minutes extra and gives me a chance to inspect all the dump valves and springs. I also flush the inflator valve at the same time with a hose adapter.
The first wing I bought had a bad dump valve that ended up leaking like a sieve after just a few dives. I found this out after a very scary surface swim back to shore where I kept sinking below the surface and had to swim up the whole way back while thinking the wing was fully inflated. While I was glad to learn it wasn't my newbie stupidity (entirely) that caused the problem it did make me realize how potentially dangerous a leaky wing could be.

So i know we service our Regs yearly, viz on tank and hydro. But when do one do a maintenance on your BCD? Mine is 1 yrs old with only 33 dives but plan to do a lot more this year. I've tested everything for our 1st dive and everything working fine.
