What's wrong with this DC500?

AS IS.everything works but it does not take clear pic's comes with charger

Q: hi can you please explain more about the problem.
A: well the camera works, but when i go outside to take a picture and there is alot of light or sunlight the picture is not clear and you see 3D shadows , so selling it AS IS and maybe someone can fix it.

Q: Does the sale include the housing, or only the camera?
A: only camera , battery , and charger...

Sounds like maybe it just needs the firmware update, huh? He's got 5 bids pushing the delivered price with shipping to $30 and you know how those bids double the last day. Sounds like some other divers are thinking the same thing...?

I had a Nikon that had the lens shake loose which caused the same problem. Not repairable.

Well, we know that there are a lot more DC500 housings still in good shape than DC500 cameras by now. If someone here buys it, I'd be curious as to the outcome...?
