Well that's fine, you're allowed to dive that way. No one has told you that you're wrong, and no one has told nova that he is wrong. I don't understand your problem.

Uh, a quick search of this thread shows 1 hit on the term DIR...in your post. He asked why, we answered why....do you have objections to our reasons?
Lighten up Johnny boy, he's obviously adding some leviety to the discussion...

"Snow Plow" seems a good term to me. Being from Spokane, I've seen a few snow plows, there shape of which is designed in the best manner to divert snow to the sides as it moves forward.
I'm not DIR, don't own a can light and often use the lemming position 'cause I can easily see my gages and it's just so dang comfortable.
Gee, I hope that's OK.

Of course, the BEST position is the one in my avatar! :eyebrow:

Once upon a time, this thread was actually going somewhere.. :crafty:

Wait, I know this game...word of the day?

How about...

antidisestablishmentarianism
How about PNEUMONOULTRAMICROSCOPICSILICOVOLCANOCONIOSIS (45 letters; a lung disease caused by breathing in certain particles) ;) BTW, i find too many negatives in antidisestablishmentarianism, kind of defeats the object of the word.

Personally i go from hands under tank, to down my sides, to snow plow, to reel work, to semi-superman (just using light) - kind of partially extended single arm, the other tucked up to my side. Depends if i want to see my guages, want to or have to do something or what feels comfortable or trims out best under the circumstances ;)

you told us that one it would have taken to long to look up, but PNEUMON gives a clue where to look.
Sorry back to the original theme put your arms where you like if we were all the same it would be a dull world that would never advance.

No one said anything about being the same. A couple of us answered the question (which was "why do you do it that way?") and then asked why nova thought his way was better.
